I had so much fun making this ink, a process that took several days, and the results are amazing. It's a lovely dark brown sepia colored ink that dries down to a soft faded brown...prefect for magical writings, and suitable for use with a dip pen, as a watercolor paint or as a dye for paper. It contains alcohol as a preservative, so not suitable as a fabric dye.
Magically speaking, Walnut is a plant of high protection, helping one to set strong boundaries, and intentions, as well as for bringing in blessings, helps with healing and transformation, seeking wisdom, manifesting desires and receiving clarity. Black walnut also is a plant ally that assists with what I call ‘ridding magic’, which is the magic of getting rid of that which is not good for you, does not serve you and is causing you harm. Know that while black walnut does not do this gently, it does do this thoroughly and powerfully.
